Destination Florence Foundation has been established to respond effectively to the challenges of Florence's tourism sector, thanks to its strategic member community and business divisions.
We are the DMO of the City of Florence and the Metropolitan City for the development of sustainable tourism, operating to attract large events, international congresses, weddings, and high-quality tourism.
Since 1995, our core business has been operating as a convention bureau promoting Florence in the MICE market by securing and developing bids for high-quality international events. In recent years, we have broadened our scope of activities, becoming a reference point in the region for other types of events, such as destination weddings or sports events, by enhancing and supporting local and regional offerings.
Through the Destination Florence website and the Belong project, we also engage with visitors and those who choose Florence as a city to study or work in, providing structured information and services for individual tourists and temporary residents.
With their experience and know-how, the Foundation’s members can do a great deal for the development of Florence. Likewise, through its divisions, the Foundation can do a great deal for them.
