The Belong project made a stop on June 11 at Fattoria Lavacchio, in the hills surrounding Florence, with an initiative dedicated to intercultural dialogue and fostering a spirit of collaboration among students. The day’s protagonists were students from ISI Florence and LABA Florence, who took part in an immersive experience focused on discovering the local area and engaging in co-creation activities.
At the heart of the event was the “Make Your Own Wine” workshop: a creative challenge in which Italian and international students collaborated in mixed groups to craft their own personalized wine blend. After a walk through the Sangiovese vineyards and a detailed technical introduction, participants experimented with different wine samples, each with unique characteristics. The goal? To find the best combination through guided tastings and group discussions. The winning blend was bottled on the spot, featuring a custom label designed by artist Massimo Innocenti, and gifted to both participating schools.
A day dedicated to cultural exchange, celebrating the local territory, and building authentic connections among those who, from all over the world, call Florence “home.”
A day of cultural exchange, local discovery, and the creation of meaningful connections among students from around the world who call Florence ‘home.
