Florence hosted an extraordinary event with the participation of over 1,500 microbiology experts from all over the world, who gathered to discuss the latest developments in bacteriology, virology and mycology. The event, which exceeded initial expectations, took place as part of the annual meeting of IUMS – International Union of Microbiological Societies.

Thanks to a fruitful collaboration between Firenze Fiera S.p.a. and Kenes Group, the congress managed to highlight not only the most innovative research in the field of microbiology, but also Florence’s potential as a hub for scientific events of international relevance.

Special thanks go to Prof. Mariagrazia Pizza and Prof. Rino Rappuoli, President of the IUMS, who were awarded by the City of Florence as Florence Ambassadors in 2022.
